Genesis Part 1 Transfers Open September 4 as ARK Readies Galleon Era

ARK: Survival Ascended players on the Official Network have a major logistics date ahead: Genesis Part 1 transfers are scheduled to open on September 4. From that point, characters, creatures and items can be brought onto Genesis Part 1 Official servers without transfer restrictions. The date also matters for tribes affected by the Genesis Part 1 Expires server cycle, which will end on September 18.

That creates a two-week window for players on the expiring servers to move out everything they intend to keep. Tribes should treat the period as a full relocation operation rather than a last-minute upload session: organize survivors, cryopod or otherwise prepare creature rosters as appropriate, identify which gear and resources are genuinely worth moving, and make sure the destination tribe has storage and space ready before the shutdown date arrives.

Decay remains paused until the transfer opening

Structure decay has been disabled temporarily while Studio Wildcard works through remaining tribe-related issues following the previous week’s OC server outage. The current plan is to restore normal decay behavior on September 4, at the same time Genesis Part 1 transfers become available.

For established tribes, the pause provides a short buffer against losing unattended structures while those issues are resolved. It should not be mistaken for a longer-term rule change, however. Players with outposts, resource bases, taming pens or older structures on Official servers should use the remaining time to inspect their holdings and refresh anything that needs attention before decay returns.

The Galleon expands the case for life at sea

The newly released Galleon is positioned as a large maritime building platform, giving tribes room to create more substantial floating bases while retaining a serious cannon armament. It arrives alongside new water behavior that introduces rolling waves and changing seas, making naval travel and construction a more prominent part of the current ARK experience.

The ship’s arrival is particularly relevant on Astraeos, now described as complete, as well as on Genesis Part 1. A Galleon can change how a group approaches travel, staging and defense: rather than treating the shoreline as the mandatory center of operations, a tribe can use the vessel as a mobile hub for expeditions, resource runs or a crew-based coastal presence. Its scale also means that captains will need to balance firepower and building ambition against the practical risks of operating a large, valuable asset on contested water.

Conquest Season 8 remains centered on Genesis Part 1

Conquest Season 8 is running across 18 Genesis Part 1 maps and is available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The mode is built around faster large-scale PvP progression, with 5x rates intended to help tribes establish themselves and recover after losses. All 18 maps are set to Genesis Part 1.

The season is split into two groups. Cluster A contains 12 servers that had Classic transfers enabled before their shutdown, while Cluster B contains six servers that initially allowed transfers only within that six-server group. Transfers between the two clusters opened on July 17 at 10 a.m. PT. Tek is enabled, but several items remain unavailable: the Tek Grenade, Tapejara Tek Saddle, Megalodon Tek Saddle, Rock Drake Tek Saddle, Mosasaur Tek Saddle and Tek Railgun. Those restrictions are important for tribes planning late-season builds or defensive doctrine, especially where aquatic fighting and high-end ranged combat would otherwise shape an engagement.

Weekend bonus rates have concluded

The latest Official Network bonus period was listed as ending on Monday, August 31, so those temporary boosts are no longer presented as active. During the event, standard PvP and PvE received 2x Harvesting, Taming, Experience and Breeding; Small Tribes received 4.5x Harvesting, Taming and Experience plus 4x Breeding; and ARKpocalypse received 5x across Harvesting, Taming, Experience and Breeding.

Players who completed breeding lines, tames or resource stockpiles before the cutoff will have benefited from the accelerated pace. Everyone else should plan current goals around normal network settings unless another official rate event is announced.

Dododex stat-calculator update is still forthcoming

Studio Wildcard also highlighted an upcoming Dododex web update. Its improved stat calculator is planned to add support for tamed and bred creatures, as well as customizable stat grading and community-driven name suggestions. No launch date has been announced. The web version is planned to receive the feature first, so breeders looking to use the expanded calculator will need to wait for a formal release date rather than expect it to be available immediately.

The immediate priority for Official players is clearer: prepare for unrestricted Genesis Part 1 imports on September 4, move possessions off Genesis Part 1 Expires servers before September 18, and revisit structure maintenance once the temporary decay suspension ends. For tribes heading toward the sea, the Galleon adds a sizeable new option just as water travel becomes more dynamic.
