ARK 2 Release Date, Confirmed Features, News and Development Tracker
A fact-checked home for ARK 2. Follow the current release plan, separate confirmed features from speculation, and track how Studio Wildcard is building its next-generation survival game.
Release tracker
What is the current ARK 2 release date?
ARK 2 is currently planned for 2028, but its official store release date remains “To be announced.” Studio Wildcard co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz discussed the 2028 plan during Snail Games’ December 2025 Investor Day. The Steam listing has not yet published a specific day, month, or early-access window.
That distinction matters: 2028 is the developer’s current target, not a locked launch date. ARK2.com will update this tracker when Studio Wildcard, Steam, Xbox, or another first-party source changes the public schedule.

Narrative
Santiago, Meeka, and a new primal world
ARK 2 continues the franchise’s story on an alien world inhabited by dinosaurs, humans, and the hostile Aratai. Vin Diesel is attached as Santiago, with Auli’i Cravalho voicing his daughter Meeka. The story centers on protecting Meeka while confronting forces tied to humanity’s past and future.
Connection to ASA
Legacy of Santiago leads toward ARK 2
Studio Wildcard’s Survival Ascended roadmap culminates in Legacy of Santiago, a planned 2027 expansion intended to connect ASA’s narrative and redesigned mechanics with the future of ARK. We track that bridge on both of our major hubs.
