Averages give each sampled hour equal weight; they may differ slightly from the original article’s per-reading averages. Peaks are the highest captured readings, not guaranteed true peaks. Changes are calculated before rounding.

Coverage: report week 168/168 hours (918 readings); previous week 168/168 hours (975 readings). Windows do not overlap. Missing hours are omitted, not filled. Feed interruptions or changes in listed servers can affect comparisons; this is not a measure of unique players or proof of game-wide growth.

ARK2.com recorded 918 population readings from ARK: Survival Ascended’s public server lists between Aug 17–Aug 24, 2026. The result is a multiplayer-server view of where ASA activity stood during the week—not a Steam-only estimate and not a count of private sessions or single-player survivors.

The weekly population picture

Across the full seven-day window, the tracked server population averaged 26,002 concurrent players. The highest reading was 39,815, while the lowest captured reading was 13,742. ASA finished stronger than it started: the first full day averaged 25,676 players, compared with 28,491 during the final 24 hours.

This comparison uses full-day averages rather than two isolated snapshots, which reduces the distortion caused by normal differences between peak evening hours and quieter overnight periods. A one-week movement should still be treated as a short-term signal, not proof of a lasting growth or decline trend.

Official, unofficial, PvE and PvP activity

Community-run unofficial servers accounted for an average of 10,376 players, or 39.9% of the measured population. Official servers averaged 15,626 players (60.1%). This split is useful because the server browser sees the complete official and unofficial feeds together instead of treating one part of the multiplayer ecosystem as the whole game.

PvE servers averaged 13,910 players during the week, compared with 12,092 on PvP servers. That places PvE at 53.5% of recorded activity and PvP at 46.5%.

Map activity in the archived snapshot

The exact map-feed timestamp was not stored for this older edition; these preserved rankings must not be read as live counts.

Genesis led the archived snapshot with 5,038 players across 1,069 active servers. The ranking below is an archived publication-time snapshot, not a live ranking; it is not presented as a seven-day map average.

Rank Map Players Active servers All-ASA share
1 Genesis 5,038 1,069 19.3%
2 Astraeos 4,965 1,096 19.1%
3 The Island 4,260 1,528 16.4%
4 Ragnarok 4,050 1,344 15.5%
5 The Center 1,983 442 7.6%
6 Valguero 1,432 537 5.5%
7 Extinction 1,411 437 5.4%
8 Lost Colony 1,081 510 4.1%
9 Aberration 930 340 3.6%
10 Scorched Earth 516 249 2.0%

The top ten maps contained 25,666 players in the archived snapshot. Map popularity can change quickly around releases, events, server wipes, transfers, and new modded experiences, so the live ASA statistics dashboard remains the better source for what is happening at this moment.

What these numbers include—and what they do not

  • Included: servers present in Studio Wildcard’s public official and unofficial ASA server lists.
  • Measured: listed players online, active servers, server type, game mode, and map at each collection point.
  • Not included: single-player sessions, non-listed private activity, or players who are in menus rather than connected to a listed server.
  • Timing: readings are collected throughout the day. Feed availability and maintenance can occasionally create gaps.

Find an active ASA cluster

Weekly reports measure overall server activity. To find communities playing right now, compare unofficial ASA clusters by combined player population. Counts reflect concurrent players across each cluster’s listed servers, not unique players over time.
