The announcement arrived in Community Crunch 517, where Wildcard described changes to combat responsiveness, controls, traversal, visual progression and creature personality. The studio has not yet supplied a release date or complete numerical balance notes.
A focused TLC, not a complete redesign
Wildcard says the Therizino update grew from the community’s Extra Life vote. Its established job as a versatile harvester and dangerous fighter is staying intact. The goal is to make that role feel more responsive while giving players clearer visual and behavioral information.
That distinction matters for established survivors. Nothing in the reveal suggests that current Therizinos will lose their core usefulness or that tribes need to replace carefully bred lines. This looks like an upgrade to how the creature handles and communicates its strengths, although exact breeding, stat and damage effects remain unannounced.
Wild Therizinos will give a clearer warning
The notorious wild encounter is gaining more personality. Better turning and obstacle-clearing movement
Mounted movement is one of the clearest practical improvements. Wildcard says the refreshed Therizino can turn tightly and hop onto or over obstacles that would stop larger mounts such as an Allosaurus or Rex. That should reduce frustrating moments around rocks, structures and uneven terrain.
The reveal also describes a vicious double-swipe attack and emphasizes protection for the rider. Exact damage values, attack timing, stamina costs and PvP implications have not been published.
