ARK2.com recorded 962 population readings from ARK: Survival Ascended’s public server lists between Aug 31–Sep 7, 2026. The result is a multiplayer-server view of where ASA activity stood during the week—not a Steam-only estimate and not a count of private sessions or single-player survivors.

The weekly population picture

Across the full seven-day window, the tracked server population averaged 26,542 concurrent players. The highest reading was 41,913, while the lowest captured reading was 10,541. ASA finished stronger than it started: the first full day averaged 25,162 players, compared with 31,629 during the final 24 hours.

This comparison uses full-day averages rather than two isolated snapshots, which reduces the distortion caused by normal differences between peak evening hours and quieter overnight periods. A one-week movement should still be treated as a short-term signal, not proof of a lasting growth or decline trend.

Official, unofficial, PvE and PvP activity

Community-run unofficial servers accounted for an average of 11,328 players, or 42.7% of the measured population. Official servers averaged 15,214 players (57.3%). This split is useful because the server browser sees the complete official and unofficial feeds together instead of treating one part of the multiplayer ecosystem as the whole game.

PvE servers averaged 14,319 players during the week, compared with 12,223 on PvP servers. That places PvE at 53.9% of recorded activity and PvP at 46.1%.

What these numbers include—and what they do not

  • Included: servers present in Studio Wildcard’s public official and unofficial ASA server lists.
  • Measured: listed players online, active servers, server type, game mode, and map at each collection point.
  • Not included: single-player sessions, non-listed private activity, or players who are in menus rather than connected to a listed server.
  • Timing: readings are collected throughout the day. Feed availability and maintenance can occasionally create gaps.
