Xeranox Revealed for Dragontopia as ASA Adds New Creatures and Boosted Rates

ARK: Survival Ascended has a new dragon on the horizon, while players already have several newly released additions to explore. Studio Wildcard’s latest Community Crunch introduces Xeranox as an upcoming creature for ARK: Dragontopia, confirms the release of Dragontopia’s Gargantar, the Fantastic Tames Season 1 Cerberax, and the Therizinosaurus TLC, and sets out current Conquest and official-server rate information.

The announcement presents a mix of immediate priorities and longer-term preparation. Survivors looking for something new to tame or test can begin with the three additions now available, while tribes invested in Dragontopia have an early indication of the next dragon headed to the map.

Xeranox is the next dragon planned for Dragontopia

Xeranox is coming to ARK: Dragontopia, although no release date was provided. The creature is a dragon with four wings, and the preview points to mobility as a central part of its combat identity. Studio Wildcard describes it as highly agile and capable of rapidly closing distance on targets.

The early information also suggests that Xeranox may turn enemy aggression into an advantage. Players are cautioned that attacking it can build toward a powerful dive or descent-based response. The precise mechanics, taming approach, stats, saddle information, and release timing remain unannounced, so survivors should treat this reveal as a first look rather than a complete creature guide.

That reactive angle could make Xeranox a different sort of aerial threat from a dragon designed purely around ranged damage or endurance. In practical terms, players may need to consider attack timing carefully when it arrives: repeatedly striking the creature without understanding its buildup mechanic could create a more dangerous counterattack instead of safely wearing it down.

Gargantar, Cerberax and the Therizinosaurus TLC are live

While Xeranox is still ahead, three separate pieces of content have now arrived in ARK: Survival Ascended. ARK: Dragontopia Gargantar, ARK Fantastic Tames Season 1 Cerberax, and the Therizinosaurus TLC are all available now.

The announcement highlights Gargantar’s capacity to consume an unusually large amount, Cerberax’s potential when used alongside tribemates, and new options for the Therizinosaurus following its TLC update. For established tribes, that makes this a useful moment to revisit how the Therizino fits into gathering, combat, and day-to-day tame rosters, while coordinated groups can begin experimenting with Cerberax’s team-oriented potential.

Players interested in Dragontopia also have a reason to look beyond the Xeranox preview. Gargantar’s release gives the map a current creature addition to pursue rather than leaving its new content entirely in the future.

Conquest Season 8: Genesis Part 1 cluster and transfer plan

Conquest Season 8 is open on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, built around large-scale PvP with accelerated progression intended to help tribes establish themselves and recover after losses. The season uses 5x rates and consists of 18 servers, all set on Genesis Part 1.

The network is divided into two groups. Cluster A contains 12 servers that had transfers enabled with Classic before those servers closed. Cluster B contains six servers whose transfers were initially limited to the six-server group for two weeks. Transfers between the two clusters were scheduled to open on July 17 at 10 AM PT.

Tek is enabled in Conquest Season 8, but several items are excluded: the Tek Grenade, Tapejara Tek Saddle, Megalodon Tek Saddle, Rock Drake Tek Saddle, Mosasaur Tek Saddle, and Tek Railgun. Tribes choosing a server should account for those restrictions before committing resources to a strategy that depends on a blocked item.

Official Network bonuses run through October 5

The current Official Network bonus period lasts through Monday, October 5. Standard PvP and PvE servers receive 2x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and Breeding. Small Tribes receives 4.5x Harvesting, Taming, and Experience, plus 4x Breeding. ARKpocalypse receives 5x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and Breeding.

For players planning a large tame, an imprinting cycle, or a resource-heavy base project, the boosted period is the immediate opportunity in this update. Breeding-focused tribes in particular may want to start timers early enough to take full advantage before the October 5 cutoff.

Cross-platform mod spotlight

The in-game mod browser continues to support player-made maps, creatures, items, and modes across platforms. This week’s official spotlight includes Red Rose Atelier, HellForged, Corsair Cove Premium Mod, Tribal Hunter Saddle Skins, Skeletal Dino Costumes, Hatzegopteryx Kukulkan, Tung Tung, and several vehicle-focused releases: Vehicle Skins Battlerig Pack, Deportive Car Skin Battlerig, Non Military Vehicles Hindenburg, and Military Vehicles BV 238.

For survivors looking to refresh a private or mod-enabled session, the selection ranges from building and cosmetic options to creatures and vehicles. As always, server administrators should review a mod’s compatibility and requirements before adding it to an active save.
